Collecting trips: North I., N.Z. - General collecting for proctos by screen sweeping and pan trapping. Finding cave weta eggs (Orthop.: Rhaphidophoridae) in old gold mining tunnels and successfully rearing Archaeoteleia (Scelionidae) from them.
Projects in progress: 1. Revision of Archaeoteleia (Scelionidae) with L. Masner. 2. Description of a new family of Proctotrupoidea with L. Masner and I. Naumann.
Papers published or in press: Bibliography number 40.
Your suggestions about PROCTOS: Keep the old name of "Proctos" - tradition, continuity with the past are important.
Personal news: I left Lincoln University in 1992 after 13 years there and moved to Auckland Museum as Curator of Entomology. Most of the last 2 years I have been involved with exhibition development and planning a hands-on natural history discovery centre for children. Daughter Genevieve born 1990, cat Raphael born 1994 (Congratulations, eds.).
