Collection trip:Atop Auyán Tepuí (Edo. Bolivar) near Angel's Falls (February 1994), and again here with Lubo Masner (April 1994), also running yellow pan traps around Maracay (e.g. Henri Pittier N.P.) and in Edo. Carabobo. Focusing on proctos along creek beds.
Other activities: Teaching at 2 universities; curator of Hymenoptera at MIZA (Maracay): hosting visiting entomologists (Norm Johnson, Steve Marshall).
Projects in progress: 1. Three new species of Tiphodytes from Venezuela (with Lubo Masner). 2. Key to genera of Diapriinae of Venezuela. 3. Key to genera of Diapriinae of the Western hemisphere (with Lubo Masner).

Personal news: In 1993, my family and I spent a one year sabatical in Ottawa working with Lubo Masner in CNCI; learned to skate on Rideau Canal and ski in the Gatineau Hills; for this and other Canadian activities, was awarded a home-made "Honorary Canadian Citizenship" (officially forged certificate).
