Mary Ellen Clay

My research interests are in the physiology of insects of medical importance. Studies of overwintering mechanisms in mosquitoes include neuroendocrine control of diapause and effect of diet and temperature on photoperiodic induction. Other studies include the structure and function of the sensilium of fleas and the biology of psychodids.
