Deborah H. Stinner

Both my research and teaching interests are in agricultural ecology and sustainable agriculture. I like on-farm research, either looking at case study farms as whole systems, ecologically (with particular interest in soil ecology) and economically, or farmer-driven research; in either case the approach is participatory where there is direct interaction between me as a researcher and farmers. I continue to have a special interest in Amish agriculture and questions of how culture and world views of farmers influence what is happening on the land ecologically.
