The OSU Insect Collection Loan Policy

OSU Insect Collection loans specimens to scientists for research purposes.
Loan requests should be directed to Norman F. Johnson in writing or via e-mail. Undetermined material, non-type material, and paratypes are loaned for a period of one year, unless prior arrangements are made with the Associate Curator or the Director. Requests for extension of loan period should be sent in writing or by e-mail. Primary type material is loaned for a period of three months and should be returned by registered airmail. Upon receiving the material, the borrower should notify us of the arrival of the specimens and their condition. All specimens should be returned unless prior arrangements are made. Primary types designated from OSU material must be returned. |
