 ASSOCIATION_TYPE_TEXT VARCHAR2(50)
Primary Key:
Association_Type_ID
The Association_Type_ID is a unique identifier generated by the Oracle server. At this time, our entries in the Association_Type_Text field are:

  • larval parasitoid of / host larva of
  • host larva of / larval parasitoid of
  • pupa of / adult of
  • adult of / pupa of
  • solitary egg parasitoid of / host egg of
  • host egg of /solitary egg parasitoid of
  • collected on / collecting site of
  • collection site of / collected on
  • emerged from / produced

There is a field for Association_Type_ID in the tables Collecting_Unit_Association, Collunit_Unvrec_Association, and Unvrec_Association. This is most definitely still a work in progress. You can see that because the intent is to associate two items, there is an inherent polarity in the association types. Many more types of associations are obvious and we'll be adding them as we encounter the need.
