Primary Key:

Lot_ID references COLLECTING_UNIT(Collecting_Unit_ID)

The number of specimens in the lot is contained within the Collecting_Unit table. But this left me with no way of retrieving the number of males or females in the collection (e.g., to calculate sex ratio). Hence, the addition of the Males and Females fields.
